This hearing impaired middle aged female presented with medial knee pain. A diagnosis of pes anserine bursitis was made. This visit was unique in that our communication occurred using a video translator and American Sign Language.
This video demonstrates bilateral lower leg swelling about 10 days after being placed in leg and hand cuffs for 10 hours. The possibility of a DVT was considered but diagnostic imaging was deferred because the swelling was localized to the feet and ankles. The patient was discharged home with instructions to follow-up as an outpatient and have imaging performed if the swelling progressed.
A water pipe broke under a sink in the ER and the water turn off was no where to be found. When all was said and done about 2 inches of water built up in the rooom and 5 rooms had water damage.

A 15 year old female hit a pothole and when she fell on her bicycle she her left leg was impaled by the brake handle. This video demonstrates the management of this unique emergency. The patient returned to the ER about 3 days later and the wound edges were "freshened" and the wound was closed (delayed primary closure).
This patient with dry socket or alveolar osteitis presented to the emergency department with severe pain. He is treated by a dentist in the emergency department where the dry socket was cleaned out, irrigated, and packed with gelfoam and eugenol. For the persistent pain the patient underwent a cervical injection. The pain improved rapidly after these interventions.
