This exercise is one that I use often to develop single leg stance and stepping patterns. It lends itself well to medium-heavy loading making it a good exercise to include for general strength.

This is a great, relatively easy to teach Olympic lift variation that offers the benefits of expressing power through triple extension, teaching the body to decelerate forces, and to load the body asymmetrically. Runners can benefit a great deal from the inclusion of power exercises.

A good exercise to use when athletes have irritated hips upon hip flexion, reduced hip flexion excursion, or when they are in need of better ASLR, Deep Squat, and Hurdle Stepping Patterns.
Runners frequently benefit from this exercise and even more when paired with some soft tissue mobilization of the TFL.

An excellent exercise to teach an athlete how to perform single leg dead lifting, SI joint force closure, and how to move the extremities independently of the spine. The beauty is that this exercise, once properly patterned lends itself to reasonably heavy loading and can be a great rotational stability exercise.

Prayer Postion Breathing is a great exercise for those capable of breathing well in supine. This exercise is great to facilitate posterio-lateral expansion of the ribcage, a movement that is often lost in people with lumbo-pelvic-hip dysfunction.

Supine Breathing Exercises are a great place to start in your breathing pattern retraining efforts. The hands are in place to monitor what is moving. Ideally the lower hand will lift vertically, and the upper hand will not much much until the very end of a breath or not at all.
